Our Mission

Improving the lives of communities in conflict-affected and fragile environments

VOI Social Impact Ltd (VOI) is a UK-incorporated social enterprise that promotes positive social impact in fragile and conflict-affected settings.

Awards GCSP

VOI was awarded a Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP) Prize for Innovation in Peace and Security: a prize for innovations with remarkable potential in peace and security.

A staggering number of 171 projects were submitted highlighting the strong interest and engagement in critical peace and security issues.

Cambridge Social Ventures

Since October 2023, VOI is part of the Incubation Program of Cambridge Social Ventures (CSV).

CSV is part of the Cambridge Judge Business School’s Center for Social Innovation and acts as the incubator supporting the development of social ventures and businesses that have a positive impact in the world.

UN Development Programme

In 2021-22, VOI partnered with the UNDP to implement two pilot projects in Guinea-Bissau, promoting peaceful coexistence between communities divided by land disputes. UNDP's local presence and resources were key to ensure safe access and mobilise the communities, as well as the preparatory works for the VOI project.

INCAS Consulting

INCAS Consulting is one of the oldest and leading consultancies that works in the fields of social impact, peace, and security.

They have integrated VOI in their solutions for corporate clients as a way of mitigating security threats within their operating environments.

Search for Common Ground

VOI was implemented in Burkina Faso to prevent violent extremism, in six pilots led by Search.

Our VOI approach was integrated into a competitive proposal that was awarded $2M in funding by the Government of Canada.

UN Peacebuilding Fund

VOI projects in Guinea-Bissau were funded by the UN Peacebuilding Fund - the UN's leading financial instrument for peacebuilding.

The two pilots yielded outstanding results: 98% of community-sourced indicators of success improved significantly from the baseline.

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP

VOI partners with Morgan Lewis (ML), a multinational law firm, as part of their annual Pro Bono Challenge. Under this program, ML lawyers dedicate a minimum of 20 hours to pro bono matters every year.
